Inauguration ceremony for our GESIS Institute Building in Mannheim

The inauguration ceremony of our building for GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences  with a speech by Tobias Wulf and a ceremonial handover of keys took place on 22 July. The building has been completed in 2021; it is the second construction phase and concluding element of the overall concept for urban development of city block B6.

31 years at HFT Stuttgart: Prof. Tobias Wulf's Last Lecture

Having taught at the faculty of architecture and design of HFT Stuttgart from 1991 until 2022 and supervised countless students during their studies, he took leave of colleagues, students, and alumni with a lecture last week.

Award ceremony: Competition New Main Fire Station

On July 1, the award ceremony for the competition for the New Main Fire Station in Trier, with Paramedic Services and Integrated Command took place at the Forum Baths in Trier. Tobias Wulf and Ingmar Menzer received the 1st prize, which was presented by Mayor Wolfram Leibe, District Administrator Stefan Metzdorf, Deputy Mayor Ralf Britten, as well as Fire Chief Andreas Kirchartz.

We're excited to share some great news: Our design for the New Main Fire Station in Trier, with Paramedic Services and Integrated Command was awarded 1st prize! The jury states: »The work convinces through its compactness and readability of the functions [...] Respect is paid to the world cultural heritage Kaiserthermen and the listed municipal baths.«

»Cradle to Cradle«: panel discussion with Ingmar Menzer

As part of the event »Cradle to Cradle – How we create circular and livable communities« on June 30, Ingmar Menzer discussed the question »Cradle to Cradle: A topic also for the Baden-Baden region?« together with Nora Sophie Griefahn (Cradle to Cradle NGO), Helge Viehweg (Mayor of Straubenhardt) and a representative of the city of Baden-Baden. Our recently completed Fire Station in Straubenhardt, which was planned and built in accordance with the Cradle to Cradle principle, was also presented as an example. Dr. Peter Kaiser (New Green Consulting, Baden-Baden) hosted the event.

We're happy to announce that our scheme for the competition New Physics Building for the University of Kassel has been awarded 4th prize! Our design envisages two polygonally contoured structures to restore the ductus of the original master plan.
