swiss-architects.com: lecture by Tobias Wulf about Future Offices

On January 28, Tobias Wulf gave a lecture entitled »Offenheit als Prinzip« (»Openness as a principle«) at the paperworld fair. In addition to our own premises, he presented our projects »State Finance Office« in Landshut, »Stuttgar Region Chamber of Industry and Commerce« and »Robert Bosch Automotive Steering Customer Center« in Schwäbisch Gmünd.

Historical Oberamteistrasse: material study

The facade of the new structure, which stabilizes the row of medieval half-timbered houses, is designed as a translucent skin of cast glass shingles giving the museum a phantom-like appearance. The interior seems blurry, yet the wooden framework behind remains visible.

Sneak peek: Community School in Karlsruhe

The issue 09.2020 of the German architecture magazine Bauwelt published an article about the competition for the Modernisation and Extension of the Municipal Library in Esslingen. Our competition entry has been awarded with the 2nd prize.

The distinctive façade consisting of sandblasted square concrete elements is a reference to both the city’s characteristic block structure and our adjacent Research and Teaching Building of the University of Mannheim, completed in 2017.

The issue 04 2020 of the Polish architecture magazine »Architektura i Biznes« published an article about wulf architekten and the future of architecture. Tobias and Gabriel Wulf had been interviewed about the future of architecture in line with the series of lectures »Masters of Architecture« (2019 in Katowice), where they gave a lecture about »non-architectural problems«.
